From the moment I left school, floristry has been my passion. I completed my Level 2 qualification and spent five years mastering my craft as a florist. While I loved the creativity of the job, my deep desire to care for others led me to a 12-year career with the NHS.
Even during my time in healthcare, my love for floristry never faded—I continued creating arrangements alongside my work. Determined to refine my skills, I pursued advanced training at the prestigious Cambridge Flower School, perfecting my floral design techniques. I also traveled to Holland, the heart of the global floral industry, and attended MIF Poland to stay ahead of the latest trends. Currently, I am working towards my Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma to further elevate my craft.
After relocating from Birmingham to Tamworth, I returned to floristry full-time five years ago. When the opportunity arose to take on my own business, I embraced it wholeheartedly. Today, as the proud owner of The Brightest Bloom, I specialise in creating breathtaking wedding florals, ensuring each couple’s special day is nothing short of extraordinary.

My journey into floristry took time to discover, but creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do.
After graduating from BCU with a degree in fashion and textile design, I pursued a career as a fashion buyer, designing stylish clothing ranges for babies and toddlers. I spent four years as an assistant buyer for a brand owned by Adams before moving to TU Sainsbury’s as a buyer in childrenswear. While I loved the creative aspect of the job, the fast-paced industry and long hours meant I couldn’t achieve the work-life balance I wanted.
While raising my children, I took on a retail management role in a charity shop, where I found fulfillment in leading a team, engaging with customers, and driving sales. However, I deeply missed being creative. My passion for flowers had always been there, so I took the leap and completed my Level 2 in Floristry.
Since joining The Brightest Bloom, after initially working at The Florist at Grangewood in 2023, I have never looked back. Now, I get to channel my creativity into stunning floral designs, helping couples bring their wedding visions to life with beautifully curated arrangements.
